Why culture eats strategy for breakfast at TBR

A recent study by Glassdoor revealed that a staggering 56% of workers ranked a strong workplace culture as more important than salary, with more than three-in-four workers saying they would consider a company’s culture before applying for a job there.

This is one of many statistics indicating that culture is as important as salary, benefits and role responsibilities, in today’s modern working world. With this knowledge in mind and the growing focus for us to showcase more of the people behind TBR, we have launched a new People & Culture section of our website.

Susan Knox, our Head of People & Culture, has spearheaded the integration of values and behaviours across the business globally, helping to cultivate an ‘all in’ culture, where coming to work is an enjoyable experience. This is also reflective of our wider mission – to grow global champions and support our people to thrive, both personally and professionally.

Starting out as a small office in 1991 in Glasgow, we are now a truly global operation, employing a team of 200 people across our offices in Glasgow, Manchester, London, Boston, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai. Being a global operation does come with its challenges, however thanks to a shared vision and cooperative working culture, we feel like one big family here at TBR.

For potential employees, your experience of TBR starts the moment you apply for a role with us and we wanted our digital journey to reflect this. The aim of this enhanced section of our website is to give you, our audience, an insight into who we are and what we do before you come through the TBR doors for your very first interview. We hope you enjoy reading the new update to our website and it gives you a glimpse into life at TBR.

Check out our revamped people and culture sub-page HERE. If you are looking for a role with and if you don’t see a role that is quite right for you, we would still love to hear from you. Simply email people and culture via careers@tbrglobal.com and a member of our team will be in touch soon.
