Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Controller
37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Overall purpose
Perform group tasks to support the Group Financial Controller and individual business improvement projects to support the growth of TBR.
Main responsibilities
  • Reporting – simplify and support the automation of a monthly management information board pack. Preparation of group reporting pack for review by Group Financial Controller; liaise with regional FCs to ensure all regional P&L are complete with full commentary noted
  • Treasury – preparation of consolidated Group cash flows by currency, together with a consideration of group cash pooling/hedging requirements; general ongoing treasury requirements (creation of new Braintree merchant accounts, HSBC security admin control)
  • Forecasting/Budgeting – assist with preparation of Budget/Forecasts and monthly update of an Excel based Business Model, to monitor business performance
  • Data Analysis and ad hoc reporting –prepare ad hoc reports to analyse data to understand movements affecting the Profit & Loss account
  • Projects work – assist with business critical projects to support the growth of the company (i) reconciliation between operating system and financials; (ii) development of interfaces from the operating system to the financials; (iii) liaise with the software provider (SAGE) to ensure full use is made of the available functionality and training is made available to the team, (iv) simplification of chart of accounts in SAGE, (v) self billing
  • Controls – ensure group processes are mapped, documented and control weaknesses highlighted
  • Statutory audit – support the external audit process
